Terms of Service
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and DGI Unlimited LLC ("DGI," "we," "us," or "our"), which runs CinematicLab at cinematiclab.ai. They apply when you use the site, get a free download, create an account, or subscribe, and by doing any of those you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information.
The short version
- You need to be at least 13 to use CinematicLab and at least 18 to subscribe.
- The subscription costs $5 a month and renews automatically every month until you cancel.
- Cancel anytime from Manage Subscription in the app. You keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't refund partial months.
- Prompts you build with CinematicLab are yours to use in your own projects. Our guides, library, and app stay ours.
1. Who can use CinematicLab
You must be at least 13 years old to use CinematicLab or create an account. You must be at least 18 years old to buy a subscription, and you confirm your age on the checkout page before you pay.
If you use CinematicLab for a business, you confirm that you're allowed to accept these Terms for it.
2. Your account
Accounts are run by Clerk, our sign-in provider. Give accurate information, keep your sign-in details private, and don't share your account. Each account is for one person.
You're responsible for what happens in your account. If you think someone else is using it, email us at info@dgiunlimited.com right away.
3. Subscription and billing
A subscription unlocks the CinematicLab app: its library of cinematic terms and visual reference images, director presets you can save, load, and export, and full access to the prompt builder. It also includes the updates we make to the app while you're subscribed. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
The subscription costs $5 a month. You pay on a checkout page run by Stripe. Your subscription renews automatically every month, and the card you gave Stripe is charged at the start of each monthly period until you cancel.
Early subscriber rate. If you subscribed at an early subscriber rate, you keep that rate for as long as your subscription stays active without a break. If you cancel, or your subscription ends because a payment couldn't be collected, the rate ends with it, and a new subscription uses the price at that time.
Price changes. We may change the price for new subscriptions. Before any change to the price of your active subscription, we'll email you 7 to 30 days before it takes effect, with how to cancel, and you can cancel before the new price applies. The early subscriber rate doesn't change while it lasts.
One subscription at a time. If you already have an active subscription, even under a different sign-in with the same email address, checkout stops you from paying twice.
Failed payments. If a payment fails, you keep access while Stripe tries it again. If the payment still can't be collected, your access ends.
4. Free trial codes
We sometimes share a promo code for a free trial. Enter it on the subscribe page before you check out. The trial lasts 3 days, and you give Stripe your card details to start it.
When the trial ends, your subscription starts and you're charged $5 a month unless you cancel before then. If you cancel during the trial, you won't be charged, and you keep access until the trial ends.
A trial code works once per person, and it counts as used once you start checkout with it.
5. Canceling and refunds
You can cancel anytime from Manage Subscription in the app, which opens Stripe's billing page. After you cancel, you won't be charged again, and you keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for. If you have trouble canceling, email us at info@dgiunlimited.com and we'll cancel it for you.
Payments aren't refundable, and we don't give refunds or credits for partial months or unused time, except where the law requires it or section 13 says so.
6. Using CinematicLab
We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use CinematicLab for your own learning and creative work, as long as you follow these Terms. You agree not to:
- share your account or subscription, or resell access to it
- copy, scrape, or download the app's library, reference images, or guides in bulk, or use them to build a competing product or a dataset
- get around the paywall, the sign-in, or any other security, or reverse engineer the site
- overload, attack, or disrupt the site
- use CinematicLab for anything unlawful, or to harass or harm anyone
7. Our content
CinematicLab, including the app, its library of terms, reference images, and presets, our guides and free downloads, and our design and logos, belongs to DGI or to the people who license it to us. It's protected by copyright and other laws.
Our guides and free downloads are for your own personal use, so please don't sell or republish them. Apart from what these Terms allow, you don't get any rights in our content.
8. Your prompts and creations
Prompts you build or copy with CinematicLab are yours to use in your own projects, including paid and commercial work. We don't claim ownership of anything you create with AI tools.
What you make with an AI tool is also covered by that tool's own terms. You're responsible for how you use it, including making sure it doesn't infringe anyone else's rights.
9. Other sites, tools, and affiliate links
CinematicLab teaches and links to tools and services we don't run, like AI video and image tools, Udemy courses, Gumroad, Notion pages, and Amazon. Their own terms, prices, and policies apply, and we're not responsible for them or for changes they make.
Some of those links are affiliate or referral links. If you sign up or buy through one, we may earn a commission or credits.
10. Disclaimers
CinematicLab teaches you to direct AI tools, but we can't promise any particular result. AI tools change often, and what works today may work differently tomorrow. Our guides and app are for learning and creative work, not professional, legal, or financial advice.
To the extent the law allows, CinematicLab is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, including any promise that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose.
11. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DGI isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses, like lost profits, lost data, or lost business, that come from using CinematicLab. Our total liability for any claim about CinematicLab is limited to the greater of $100 or what you paid us for CinematicLab in the 12 months before the claim.
Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
If you break these Terms or the law while using CinematicLab and someone brings a claim against DGI because of it, you agree to cover DGI's reasonable losses and costs from that claim, including reasonable legal fees, to the extent the law allows.
13. Ending your access
You can stop using CinematicLab anytime, and you can cancel your subscription as section 5 describes. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms, or if we need to for legal or security reasons.
If we close your account or end your subscription for any other reason, including if we stop offering CinematicLab, we'll refund the unused part of your current paid period.
Parts of these Terms that by their nature should continue, like our content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law, still apply after your access ends.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any dispute about CinematicLab or these Terms will be handled in the state or federal courts located in South Carolina, to the extent your local consumer laws allow.
Nothing in these Terms takes away rights you have under the consumer protection laws where you live. If you have a problem, please email us at info@dgiunlimited.com first so we can try to fix it.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change materially affects your subscription, we'll email you before it takes effect, and you can cancel before then. If you keep using CinematicLab after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply to you.
16. General
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and DGI about CinematicLab. For CinematicLab, they take the place of the terms and privacy policy on DGI's other websites, including where Stripe's checkout or billing pages link to those. If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a part right away, we can still enforce it later. You can't transfer your rights under these Terms to anyone else, but we may transfer ours if CinematicLab changes hands.
